Lisbeth Calandrino is a compelling, content-driven speaker with a thorough understanding of business principles and human behavior.
At the age of 9, Lis started working for her father and grandfather, learning the principles of business while managing a fruit stand. This fascination with business led Lis to dream about someday having her own business — but this was not to happen for many years. Lis’s interest in sports led her to major in physical education in college. She realized, however, that this was not a time for female athletes and eventually added psychology to her major. Lis’s fascination with the drive and discipline of athletes, along with her interest in human behavior, gave her a new idea: Combine the two and inspire people to be their best.
Lis went off with her ideas to develop programs and win grants to develop programs for a variety of groups. This at a time when the field of personal growth and motivation was very much undiscovered. It was, according to Lis, a long, tough road, one filled with excitement and disappointment, winners and losers; but much was learned. Lis’s experience working with people led to an unquenchable thirst for self-understanding. As time went on, Lis was able to take her newfound skills and add them to her entrepreneurial vision.
Since then, Lis has helped entrepreneurs, small businesses and corporations move to the next level in their industries. She has started and grown several successful businesses of her own while working as a consultant and author. She is co-founder and vice president of Peachtree Communications, a full-service marketing, communications and training firm which focuses on the flooring industry and publishes Fabulous Floors Magazine, the international consumer flooring publication.
Lis is known for creating custom-tailored training programs covering every aspect of retail for manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers at all levels within the floor covering industry as well as outside. This includes the development and creation of programs and materials for sales training, introduction of new programs and products, and presentation skills for executives and sales associates. She also provides commercial voice-overs and has written and directed specialized training films.
In addition to her training and speaking work, Lis is director of retail sales development for Floor Focus Magazine, a top flooring industry publication, for which Lisbeth authors articles that contribute to the professional development of the floor covering industry. She is also co-author of a number of publications, including “Win the War in the Store,” a book that outlines competitive strategies for retailers. Her latest book, Red Hot Customer Service: 35 Ways to Heat Up Your Business and Ignite Your Sales, was published in 2009.

Lis’ academic background includes advanced courses in organizational development; she was Assistant Professor of Psychology at Columbia-Greene Community College for 4 years.
